Harness the power of instancing but with the flexibility of per object uv coordinates, allowing for hand painted textures in software packages such as Substance, Mari or Photoshop. On export point attributes will store the uv scale and udim position on the point cloud along side a baked alembic cache that can be brought into your texture package of choice. Once the textures are exported the shader attached to the instancer will use the point attributes to look up the corresponding texture position.
